Mexico City, August 2024 – An unprecedented electoral scandal has shocked the world: The “Carpeta Purpura” investigation has scientifically uncovered fraud in the 2024 Mexican presidential election using Benford’s Law, a statistical method frequently employed to detect financial, tax, and electoral fraud.
The analysis revealed that in 2,459 of the 5,561 polling stations from the Rapid Count, as well as in 73,919 polling stations from the District Count, the results were altered in favor of Claudia Sheinbaum. This finding, based on a significant deviation in the expected distribution of votes, has called into question the legitimacy of the official results.
Fraud Detected in Specific Polling Stations
The analysis shows an irregular deviation in polling stations with a voting range between 200 and 299 votes, where the expected percentage according to Benford’s Law would be 17.6%. However, Claudia Sheinbaum obtained a percentage of 43.51% in these polling stations, reflecting a deviation of 25.91 percentage points. This anomaly reveals the manipulation of the result through vote padding or the duplication of tally sheets.
The self-proclaimed electoral expert “Citizen Force” had already warned about these irregularities and continues to investigate using other traditional methods. However, Benford’s Law has been key to proving electoral fraud station by station.
